＜ teach［人］［事］＞または＜ teach［事］to［人］＞で，「［人］に［事］を教える」の意味になる。
- He teaches us history. 彼は私たちに歴史を教えます。
- He teaches history to us. 彼は私たちに歴史を教えます。
【注意】
teach は学問や知識，技能などを教えることを意味する。たんに情報などを教えるときは，tell（話して教える）や show（見せて教える）を使う。
- Tell me the way to the post office, please. 郵便局に行く道を教えてください。
